This sapphire diamond pendant centers on one cabochon-cut sapphire. The stone weighs 1.02 carats and shows a deep, saturated blue. Unlike a faceted cut, the cabochon shows a smooth, domed surface. Because of this, the sapphire reflects light as one continuous glow rather than distinct flashes. The rounded shape also gives the pendant a softer, more organic focal point. This cut suits the sapphire’s natural depth of color well.
Thirty-seven round brilliant diamonds circle the sapphire in a pavé halo. Together, they weigh 0.12 carats, at VS1 clarity and G color. This sapphire diamond pendant uses the halo to add brightness around the smooth center stone. The diamonds sit close together, leaving almost no visible metal between them. That density creates a clear ring of sparkle around the sapphire’s softer glow. The contrast between textures is the design’s main idea.
At 1.55 grams total, the pendant stays light at the neckline. A fine cable chain supports the piece without adding visual weight. Consequently, the pendant sits close to the collarbone rather than pulling forward. This sapphire diamond pendant suits both everyday wear and more formal occasions. The sapphire is bezel-set individually, and the diamonds are pavé-set by hand. Nothing about this pendant is cast with the stones pre-placed. Our team first sets the cabochon sapphire, then builds the diamond halo around it. Each diamond prong is shaped to keep the ring of stones even. The piece is made entirely in-house, start to finish. Because of this, we can resize the chain or reset a stone later. The same workshop that built it can maintain it for years to come. That includes rebuilding the halo if a diamond is ever replaced.
