This orange sapphire ring centers on one round orange sapphire. The stone weighs 3.09 carats and sits in a four-prong setting. Its warm, sunset-orange color sets it apart from a traditional diamond center stone. Because the prongs lift the stone slightly, light reaches the sapphire from multiple angles. The round cut also gives the center stone a classic, balanced outline. This shape suits both classic and modern styling equally well.
Two pear-shaped diamonds flank the sapphire, one on each shoulder. Together, they weigh 0.41 carats, at SI1 clarity and H color. Each diamond sits sideways, with its point facing outward. This orange sapphire ring uses that orientation to draw the eye toward the center stone. The diamonds add brightness without competing with the sapphire’s color. Their pear shape also softens the transition to the plain band. Both stones are matched closely for size and brilliance.
The 18K yellow gold band weighs 6.50 grams. Small open galleries sit beneath the center stone. This lets light pass through from underneath as well as above. Consequently, the sapphire appears brighter than a fully closed setting would allow. The warm yellow gold also complements the sapphire’s orange tone rather than contrasting with it. This pairing feels intentional rather than accidental. The open galleries also make the setting easier to clean.
Every stone in this orange sapphire ring is set individually. Nothing is cast with the stones pre-placed. Our team first sets the center sapphire, then builds the shoulders around it. Each pear-shaped diamond is positioned to match the other exactly. The piece is made entirely in-house, start to finish. Because of this, we can resize it or reset a stone later. The same workshop that built it can maintain it for years to come. That includes rebalancing the shoulders if a stone is ever replaced.
